“Aunty Honey’s ʻIlima”
This print honors my Aunty Honey, who was known for her beautiful ʻilima lei. She was the person many turned to when they needed an ʻilima lei, and she made lei for many well-known Hawaiian musicians over the years. After she passed, our family was given seeds from her ʻilima plants so we could continue the tradition and carry on her legacy of making lei. Through these plants and the lei made from them, her legacy continues to bloom.
Lei flowers featured: ʻIlima
Available as: 8"×10" print in an 11"×14" mat
All photos are taken by Pono Chung, and lei are made by Pono Chung and family.
Each print is hand-signed and locally printed in Hawaiʻi. All prints include an archival front mat and back mat, so they are ready to frame.
